Long ago, in AIS School, there were a lot of students lazy to reading book. That why Mr. Gululu the Reading Teacher was really sad. He thought that his students were boring to reading books. The Book Ghost knew it, and he made the plan to harm the students who didn’t like to read books.
“Hahahahah, those students will die if they don’t read 3 thick book everyday by command Mr. Gululu,” the ghost said with the evil laugh.
That night the ghost went to his home to make his witchcraft in Mr. Gululu house. Suddenly the light turned off, the ghost’s light flash though the room that made Mr. Gululu scared.
“Who are you? Why are you here?” Mr. Gululu said nervously.
“I will help you to make your students like to read books or they will die,” the Book Ghost said.
“No, I don’t need your help, I can do it by myself to make the students interesting to read books,” Mr. Gululu said.
“All right, you make me angry I will do my plan,” the ghost laughed.
Suddenly the smoke with any color appears that made the room bright up. The ghost disappeared and it could control Mr. Gululu do everything it wanted to.
“Hahahahah, I help you but you didn’t listen to me. Now see my power,” the Book Ghost yelled.
Next morning, Mr. Gululu went to school and brought a big rod. The students and teachers were really surprise.
“Hey you, why Mr. Gululu brings the rod,” one student asked.
“Who know?” another students answered.
Then, Mr. Gululu went to his room and wrote big words on the board ‘Everyday, each student has to read 3 thick books or they will be hit by my thick rod’.
When the students went to his room, they thought that someone wrote it for fun.
“Who wrote it? It is so crazy, it is impossible for us to read fast like that,” one student yelled.
“I wrote it, it is the new rule in my class,” Mr. Gululu said out loud.
“What the, how can?” the class yelled.
“That your job, keep the work or you will be hit,” Mr. Gululu said evilly.
Since that day, the students were very disappointed; they were usually go to school late because they had to read very late to finish all of the books. They didn’t sleep enough time that why they were all sleepy.
Sometime Mr. Gululu was usually hit the students that didn’t read books. There were 3 students that named: Tina, Lisa and Cathleen, they were always finish their books time.
“This time is 12 times when we had finishing our books since we had the new rule,” Tina said.
“Yeah! But I don’t know why Mr. Gululu was always test us really careful,” Lisa said
“Um, maybe he wants to make sure that we read it carefully,” Cathleen said.
“Um, maybe,” they all said
“Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr! How could it happened, I had test they very carefully, but every time they were all right. If it happens 13 times, my witchcraft will break,” Mr. Gululu said angrily. “I have to do something to make they won’t finish their books,”
Mr. Gululu went to the Book Ghost house and found the witchcraft book, “Where is it, I just read it 400 years ago,” Mr. Gululu yelled.
He found every book that he has, reading them carefully. Suddenly he saw it, “There it is ‘How to make the book fly when somebody try to read it’. That is so wonderful, it may help me.”
Since Mr. Gululu made his spell, each time Tina, Lisa, and Cathleen tried to read books, the books flied up.
“What happen, why each time I read the books were just flying up?” Tina asked.
“What, it happened like that to me too,” Lisa said
“But, wait the books that we borrowed it has in internet too. Why don’t we read in there then return by the books. Isn’t it easier,” Cathleen said.
Next morning, they returned their books again that made Mr. Gululu surprise. How it can happen, I made the spell on them already, Mr. Gululu thought.
When three of the girls gave the books to Mr. Gululu, suddenly the light brought up, the student scared, they hugged each other. Then the Book Ghost spirit flied off from Mr. Gululu’s body.
“You are breaking my spell that means you like to read books but some students hate to read that made me wake up. Now I can go to sleep again,” the Book Ghost said.
Then he disappeared. Every students and teachers were looking at Mr. Gululu.
“What happened, why you are looking at me?” Mr. Gululu said sleepily.
Other students and teachers laughed at him. Since that day, the students were reading books more and more often.

In Vietnam, we celebrate Tet in Lunar Calendar. In this day, we used to plant apricot blossom (name of the kind of flower) in South Vietnam because in here is really warm and good for plant it. In North Vietnam we plant Dao because it fix with the season in there.

Some of the women in here wear dress in this day, it is a clothe tradition in Vietnam. it makes the women in here more beautiful. Men or woman, old people or childrent can wear it everwhere in Tet. The children usually wear green, yellow, red or violet. Old people wear black, red or green. This will make Ho Chi Minh City really colorful if everyone wear it in Tet.

This is one kind of cake we eat during Tet Banh Chung (square glutinous rice cake). They symbolize for the ground and Banh Day (sticky rice) symbolize for the sky. Those kind of cake had the legend about them. Long time ago, Hung Vuong wanted to choose the good king and told his son to find the good food. His youngest son dreamed about two kinds of those cake and said with his wife to do it. so that he became the king when his father died.

This is another kink of cake we eat but most of them we eat in South Vietnam. Inside of them are filled with green bean paste and fat pork. ( I like to eat them at home, my aunt in Ha Tien usually make them and give to us some to eat during Tet.)

The thing that the Kid in Vietnam like is go to visit their relationship and give them a lot of good wishes to begin the happy and good New Year. Finally, we can get the lucky money from the older people. ( I like to do it too.) ^_^
